Different Material Types, Explained

PLA: PLA is a type of compostable plastic derived from plants such as corn. It's harmless to manufacture and incredibly durable. Some say that when the PLA melts during printing, it produces a sweet smell.

PETG: PETG (nicknamed "pet goo" by the workshop) is a filament commonly derived from recycled plastics. It's more durable than PLA, but allows for less detail. We typically used this material in prints in which fine detail is not as important as durability, such as our shoe charms.
